Shameless Self-Promotion

Of course, having a Web site with your own domain is enough self-promotion, but this is my page for the shameless side. This page will be a clearinghouse of sorts for any work I’ve done that isn’t so much work-related, but can be used to show what I’ve done. Without further ado:

Being invited to speak on an alumni panel at Texas State’s Mass Comm Week really meant a lot to me, especially considering I’ve not graduated. I completed the Electronic Media program at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, but I’ve yet to earn my bachelor’s degree. If you choose to ask about the story, I’ll choose to answer.

While I sure as hell don’t have all the answers, I hope those in the audience will take what I say to heart, compare my thoughts with those of others and come up with the correct answer. The video below is a compilation of answers to questions from students. You can find my answers at the 1:21, 3:45 and 4:14 marks. In order, I was asked: “Why is grammar, spelling and punctuation important?” “What was something I wish I learned in college?” and “Is it better to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree?”
